Veldhuizen Family Stuart & Connie Veldhuizen and family own and operate Veldhuizen Family Farm. Dairy has always been an important part of Stuart's life. The Veldhuizen's have been in the dairy business for generations. Stuart grew up on a dairy farm in Southwest Minnesota. He farmed alongside his dad, William Veldhuizen. In 1990, the father and son team decided to relocate to the present location in Texas.

In 1995, Stuart decided to leave the dairy to try his hand at other things; saying he never wanted to milk another cow in his life.

In 1999, He changed his mind! He wanted to get back into dairying, but not the way he had done it before. As a family, we checked into options of value-added dairy operations. Making cheese is a fascinating process that caught Stuart's interest, so we began to check it out. After much research, we knew this was what we wanted to do.

Veldhuizen Family In January 2000, Stuart traded labor for baby calves, and our adventure began! The dream grew alongside the calves. Stuart went to Cheese school, (in Wisconsin of course). We remodeled the milk barn to include a cheese making facility. We collected and manufactured equipment.

In 2002, Stuart began making cheese. In September we began construction on our aging room.

In 2003, we began to market cheese. Stuart began to make many different varieties of cheese.

In 2005, we began construction of a new cheese making room, and store front. It is now open!

Every member of our family is involved in the cheese making process. Tending the cows, milking, making cheese, or helping in the aging room; Wherever you look you will see a Veldhuizen working diligently. Our cheese is a family labor of love.
